News Chaophya Park Hotel Bangkok - Chinese Restaurant’s Unique Art

Following a multi million dollar refurbishment of the Chaophya Park Hotel and famous Garden Court Chinese Restaurant, the Chaophya Park Hotel has invested in unique restaurant art works reputed to have cost 6 figure sums in its new design. The artworks include specialist Sino-Thai art, depicting Thai scenes in the form of traditional mural paintings overlaid with Chinese motifs and incorporating classically inspired weather formations.

Mr. Andrew Wood, General Manager of the Chaophya Park Hotel comments on the new art work, “The U.S. based architect firm Bent Severin and Associates, working with their Thailand team, researched the art work on our behalf. The hotel wanted something rather unique that fitted with the overall concept, yet classically inspired and we wanted to buy art work that was special to Thailand. The location was the Garden Court; Bangkok’s immensely popular Chinese Restaurant.”
